How does public infrastructure construction influence CO2 emissions? A global case

چکیده
To empirically investigate as to whether and how public infrastructure influences the global greenhouse effect, this study utilizes a panel dataset of 35 countries over period 2003–2019 for regression estimation. Furthermore, regional heterogeneous mediation effects between carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) emissions are explored. The primary findings insist that: 1) at level, is positive associated with CO emissions. In other words, strengthening stage not conducive mitigating effect; 2) construction development in Belt Road Initiative (BRI) has greater impact on than non-BRI countries; 3) roles industrial upgrading trade openness established; specifically, valid transmission routes through which affects Based above three findings, number policy implications related accelerate low-carbon promote proposed.
